Mobirise

What does therapy with me look like?

Therapy with me means first and foremost
that we have a healthy, open, and dynamic
relationship. I hold an accepting,
non-judgmental, and compassionate approach.
Our relationship's essence is healing.

I am good at providing structure and holding healthy boundaries. At the same time I am nurturing, compassionate, and empathic.

I commit to meet you where you are, and honor our relationship with authenticity, truth speaking, curiosity and openness.

I offer counseling for adults, couples, families, children and teens.

I have deep commitment to reciprocity towards our elders. If you are an elder looking for counseling, I am here for you, and would love to find a way to work together.

Approach and Background

My approach is relational, humanistic and transpersonal.
Relational means that I believe that our relationship is a foundation to healing your relationships with others.
Humanistic means that together we will journey into allowing your true self to unravel and that in that process I will be curious, genuine, empathetic and non-judgemental.
Transpersonal means that I believe that our mind, body and spirit are engaged in our sessions. Yet, we could have different beliefs and they will all be welcome in the room.
Our sessions will be a combination of talking, feeling, working with and through your body, and more. Depending on where you are and what you need.

A Prayer
by
Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Refuse to fall down
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled.
You may be pushed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you from lifting your heart
toward heaven
only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this,
is not yet listening.
